Senior Outreach · A community initiative in development
Every generation has
something to share.
A skill passed on. A story heard. A friendship that starts by making something together. Help Honahlee bring seniors and younger generations into meaningful connection.
Why we're starting
Skills and stories
deserve a next chapter.
Our vision is simple: create opportunities for seniors and younger people to learn from one another through conversation, creativity, and hands-on projects.
A retired mechanic, a craftsperson, a pilot, or a grandparent may have a lifetime of knowledge to share. A young person brings fresh questions and ideas. Time spent together can make room for both.
Dave and Nancy are developing this initiative through Honahlee in Tenino, Washington. We’re inviting people who want to help shape what comes next.
What connection could look like
Something to make.
Something to learn. Someone to know.
These are starting ideas for future projects. We want to hear what seniors, families, educators, and community groups would find meaningful.
Share a skill
Explore model airplanes, practical skills, or a favorite craft together. Let experience and curiosity meet around a shared project.
Make something meaningful
Create a keepsake or collaborative project that gives people a reason to gather, contribute, and learn from each other.
Keep a story alive
Listen to memories, local history, and lessons learned. Explore ways to preserve stories with the storyteller’s permission.
We are gathering interest and exploring possible pilot projects. Activities, dates, locations, costs, and participation arrangements have not yet been announced. Contact us to join the planning conversation.
Who do you know?
